Gastroenterology Procedures

Colonoscopy

A colonoscopy is a vital screening procedure used to detect and prevent colon cancer, as well as identify polyps and other abnormalities in the large intestine. Our team ensures a comfortable and thorough experience, prioritizing early detection and peace of mind for every patient.

Gastroenterology Procedures

Enteroscopy

A specialized procedure used to examine and treat conditions in the small intestine. Using a long, flexible tube with a camera, enteroscopy helps diagnose bleeding, tumors, or inflammation deep within the digestive tract.

Gastroenterology Procedures

EGD – Upper Endoscopy

A diagnostic procedure that examines the esophagus, stomach, and the first part of the small intestine (duodenum). An EGD helps identify conditions such as acid reflux, ulcers, or abnormal growths and can also be used for treatments like biopsies or polyp removal.

Gastroenterology Procedures

Esophageal Dilation

A procedure used to widen a narrowed esophagus, often caused by conditions like acid reflux, scarring, or swallowing disorders. Using a small balloon or dilator, the physician carefully expands the esophagus to improve swallowing and reduce discomfort.

Gastroenterology Procedures

Flexible Sigmoidoscopy

A minimally invasive procedure that examines the lower part of the colon (sigmoid colon) to screen for polyps, inflammation, or early signs of colorectal disease. It is often used as a preventive measure for colon health or to investigate symptoms such as rectal bleeding or changes in bowel habits

LAB, X-RAY, AND BIOPSY RESULTS

Lab, x-ray and biopsy results take several weeks to be processed and results verified. Often a follow-up visit will be scheduled and the provider will spend time educating you and advising you on management.
